The Story of Creation(audio)/ A Children’s Story

It was a rainy day and Ashley was bored with television.

“Granny will you tell me a story?” She asked.

“Ok I will tell you the story about how God created the earth. Would you like that story?” Grandma Annie replied.

“Yes! Did you know that some people do not believe that God made the earth?” Ashley said with a sad look upon her round face.

“I know but the Bible is the oldest book recording the words of many prophets of long ago. So we must read it and learn all that we can. This is how the story goes.” Grandma Annie continued.

“Once upon a time too long ago for anyone to ever remember there was only God. The earth was formless, empty and dark. God’s Spirit moved over the waters getting ready to perform God’s creative Word. Then God began to speak the world into existence.”

“On the first day He created light and separated the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness night. He looked over what He had done and it was good.

“On the second day God separated the waters from the heavens. He looked over what He had done and it was good.” Grandma said with a smile.

“On the third day God created the land and gathered the waters to form the seas. He also created the plants and the trees. He stood over all this and said it was good.

On the fourth day God created the sun, the moon and the stars to give light to the earth. They were to separate the day and the night. They would also mark the seasons, days and years. God’s eyes roamed over all and it was good.”

On the fifth day God created every living creature of the sea and every winged bird. He blessed them and told them to multiply and fill the waters along with the skies. God watched all that He had made and it was good.

On the sixth day God created the animals to fill the earth. He also created Adam and Eve in his own image because He wanted to walk and talk with them. He blessed them giving them all the whole earth to care for, to rule over and to keep beautiful. God looked down over all that He had created and smiled. It was good.

Then on the seventh day God finished his work of creation and rested. He blessed the day and made it holy. God was satisfied and happy with His creation. He smiled upon all that He had done.

So we see that God created all that is by His divine words. He was there before there was anything. No one knows how it all happened and no one can answer all the questions. It is actually one of the biggest mysteries to mankind. God created all of this for what purpose? Well I think He was lonely and He wanted all these things to love Him. This is why when we sing songs of praise and we bow our heads to pray we are giving our love to God. He made us in His image so we look like Jesus did when He was here on earth. God’s greatest love is you and me.”

“Wow what a big God He is! He made all of the mountain, seas, clouds, skies, deserts, all the land and every living thing. He did it all because He wanted to be loved. Well I will love Him with all of my heart for as long as I live.” Ashley replied nodding her head.

This is how God made the world. He spoke and it happened! How powerful His word is!!!!!
